What are the race distances appropriate for youth and junior  triathletes?

Youth Athletes from 7 - 15 of age race super sprint distances
Junior Athletes from 16 - 19 of age race sprint distance

It is very important for young athletes to race the distance appropriate for their age as sanctioned by USAT and the Olympic Committee.  We practice skills over endurance so that an athlete will develop using the proper form.
Endurance work at an early age can cause damage to growing bodies and limit their athletic potential later in life.
